BIO

Art has always been a passion of mine since I was very young.  As a child, I spent most of my free time diligently perfecting my skills of coloring.  I was excited by every art class I could experience.  At the University of Michigan, I majored in Art History but never imagined that I would later create my own art to sell.

After having children, I was afforded some time to dig deep and allow my creativity to resurface.   I was motivated by the large abstract pieces I painted as a college student that my mother pulled out of her attic 13 years later.  I hung two in my home.  It was then that I began to experiment and create new large scale pieces of this nature, the very first of which was a present for my mother.

When I work through each new piece, I seek to create artwork that ignites an emotional response for the viewer.  My primary focus is color pairing and the relationship between each layer on the canvas.  The purposeful blending of colors together with the energetic brushstrokes reveal a different story to each person.
